Note: Danny N. died Monday, January 26, 2004. Danny will always be remembered for his dedication, hard work and easy going nature.
Danny was born July 7, 1951 in Iowa City, Iowa. He graduated from City High in 1969 and served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam war. He was a sheet metal worker at the University of Iowa for 32 years.
Danny enjoyed motorcycles, leather work, his pets--a lab named Mariah and two cats. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper.
Rest well, Danny!
My name is Danny N.
I have been riding motorcycles for around 35 years. Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Brigstone, Hodaka, Mako and the latest, and I hope last, Harley Davidson. I now have three fellowships that I attend on a regular basis: AA, NA, and Second Chance Motorcycle Club.
I found all three in treatment, the later from a counselor at the treatment center. She suggested I check out Second Chance since I like to ride motorcycles. I received sobriety on May 23, 1994 and started prospecting for Second Chance in May 1995. Second Chance is a clean and sober motorcycle club. I belong to the Southern Chapter out of Ottumwa, IA. Since I joined Second Chance I have put on a lot of miles on my Harleys, I started out with a 1000cc Sportster then went to an 85 FLHTC then an 87 FLHTC. This last winter, I had my 87 triked out with a DFT Trike kit.
Second Chance has been good for me. I have been to a lot of places I would not have gone to otherwise like Branson MO, Omaha Nebraska, Kansas City, MO, Akron Ohio, and more in the future.
Check us out if you want.
We like to have fun, Live to ride and Ride to Live.
